ATPOL II

Overview Back to the top...

ATPOL II The ATPOL II unit is very lightweight and easy-to-use, making it an ideal handheld unit for testing motors under full load. The unit can store twenty readings internally, and has a Memory Card slot on the side for storing further readings. This gives the unit - potentially - unlimited storage capacity.

The instrument is classified as CAT 4, is CE certified, and comes complete with a two-year warranty. The Wireless Bluetooth functionality, which is built-in, allows you to download data to the PC without the use of a cable (for the convenience factor), and is supplied with a Bluetooth to USB adapter if you do not have Bluetooth support on your PC.

The ATPOL II kit offers both Motor Circuit Analysis and Power Quality Management for AC as well as DC equipment, and there is no need to carry around a PC and other heavy or sensitive equipment. The unit is also supplied with AC clamps, which can also be used with DC motors and drives.

The system is based upon demodulated current and both voltage and current Fast-Fourier Transform (FFT), allowing the analyst or technician to view the electrical system both upstream (supply) and downstream (load) from the point of test.

The ATPOL II evaluates the electrical and mechanical health of an AC or DC motor and its driven load, as well as incoming power quality showing complete AC/DC power/energy cost analysis. Many key determinations can be done automatically by the system, such as the following...
  • Running Speed and Pole Pass Frequency automatically determine if bearing problems exist, as well as the presence of static and dynamic eccentricity
  • Software can automatically determine Rotor Bar and Stator Slot count in most cases
  • Bearing numbers can be inputted, enabling software to automatically determine if a bearing problem exists
  • Automatic determination of static and dynamic eccentricity
The unit can also be used on High Voltage motors with a Connection Box by using a Potential Transformer. The included software can then account for the PT when analysing readings.

Furthermore, the unit does not require nameplate data to be entered prior to taking readings. This can be done after the testing phase and before analysing the results. The included software then automates most of the diagnosis and reporting, and fully integrates with the software that is included with the All-Test IV Pro 2000.
