The FLIR i3, i5 and i7 are pocket-sized and pocket-priced infrared cameras, which lead their class in regards to weight, size, functionality and cost. Despite the inclusion of a bright 2.8" LCD display, the cameras are only 22 cm long and weigh just 340 grams.
Inside the i3's sturdy shell is a 60 x 60 infrared detector, while the i5 and i7 increase this to 80 x 80 and 120 x 120 respectively, enabling you to take good thermal images.
This is further boosted by high thermal sensitivity and accuracy - two important considerations when you're trying to identify subtle temperature differences.
All of the images taken are saved onto a removable microSD card as radiometric JPEG files, and we can store up to approximately 5,000 images at any time.
Using the supplied PC software, which is known as ThermaCAM QuickReport, we can then download these infrared images from the camera, analyse them further and report out findings in just a few minutes.
Additional software called ThermaCAM Reporter 8 is also available separately, and integrates directly into Microsoft Word to provide full flexibility over the design and content of our reports.
Coupled with additional features, such as excellent battery life and adjustable emissivity, all three cameras are extremely suitable for many electrical, mechanical and building applications, and are an ideal addition to any toolbox.
