The FLIR P-series are state-of-the-art infrared cameras, intended for operators who carry out infrared surveys on a regular basis. Whether you're an infrared consultant or a PDM professional in the manufacturing or utilities industry, these cameras will help you to spot more electrical and mechanical problems than ever before.
These particular cameras offer superior thermal and visual image quality, temperature measurement accuracy and a number of advanced analysis features, all of which combine to produce the most comprehensive infrared package available today.
Integrated into the camera's rugged magnesium housing is a high-resolution 640 x 480 infrared detector and 3.2 MegaPixel digital camera, which makes these cameras suitable for looking at very small or distant targets. GPS support is also included on selected models.
The P-series cameras also include various features and options that will help thermographers carry out their inspections. Standard features such as Thermal Fusion, panorama controls, Picture-in-Picture and voice annotation can all be accessed via the graphical menus displayed on the large 5.6" widescreen display.
In addition to a large infrared detector and image resolution, these cameras are also extremely sensitive, enabling the user to capture subtle details even at low temperature differences. A unique contrast optimiser feature is also included on selected models, which can automatically adjust the brightness and contrast of the image to make thermal analysis of detailed objects easier.
Using the supplied PC software, which is known as ThermaCAM QuickReport, we can then download these digital and infrared images from the camera, analyse them further and report our findings. Additional software called ThermaCAM Reporter 8 is also available separately, and integrates directly into Microsoft Word to provide full flexibility over the design and content of our reports.
