Flir InfraCAM SD

Overview Back to the top...

The brand-new Flir InfraCAM SD, designed by Flir Systems, is an easy-to-use and highly affordable thermal imager. This compact camera - which weighs less than 600 grams - can detect and measure heat which develops in virtually all electrical or mechanical applications prior to a system failure. Used on a regular basis, the Flir InfraCAM SD can help to avoid cost-intensive failures, and major equipment or plant damage.

Discover hidden building problems and electrical faults with the Flir InfraCAM SD! Videos of the Flir InfraCAM Classic, which is similar to this improved model, can also be found on these application pages.

What makes the Flir InfraCAM SD the tool of choice? Back to the top...

Flir InfraCAM SD
  • Locate faults quickly by viewing thermal images on the camera's large 3.5" LCD display. Analyse the problem, and share the findings with your colleagues
  • InfraCAM's non-contact mode - used to measure the temperature of the object you are viewing - ensures you are not in any danger. This method also allows you to detect the most diverse electrical problems, and instantaneously see the area of concern on a bright and clear infrared image
  • Easy to use menus and controls means that you'll be ready for your first infrared inspection within minutes, not hours. Kit an entire team with InfraCAMs with little to no training
  • Inspect for longer thanks to a battery life of up to seven hours. This gives you plenty of times to take the images and download them to your PC, without having to worry about spare batteries and recharging the camera
  • Save images and download them at anytime - Up to 1,000 images can be stored in the camera in JPEG format, which can then be easily included in your inspection reports or kept for historical purposes using ThermaCAM QuickReport (which is included)

You may also be interested in our range of Thermographic Inspection Windows (or "sightglasses", as they are sometimes known). These allow infrared energy to pass through, permitting infrared inspections to be carried out effectively and safely - without the need to defeat safety systems or open panel covers.

We can also provide On-site thermography training that covers an introduction to infrared, predictive maintenance, camera operation, use of software and report writing. This training will familiarise operators with their infrared camera, and we also show how thermography can be complimented by other technologies – most notably, ultrasound.
