PHD-4 helium detector
The PHD-4 is a portable helium leak detector, which is capable of detecting very small leaks in objects that have a slight helium and air pressure inside, and is sensitive to helium concentrations as small as 2 parts per million.
This sensitivity, which is three orders of magnitude greater than the industry standard, makes the instrument a superior alternative to other solutions, such as bubble-testing. Virtually any object that requires a level of leak tightness can be tested quickly using the PHD-4.
In addition to being a capable leak detector, the unit is also easy-to-use. For example, both tuning and zeroing can be handled automatically, which makes the equipment suitable for use in environments with high levels of background helium.
Some of the other features of the PHD-4 include...
- An automatic backflow valve that prevents helium saturation, and helps to ensure fast response times and long life of the sensor.
- Battery life of up to 4 hours.
- CE, CSA/US approved for global standardisation.
- Four language options: English, French, German and Italian.
- Fully automated start-up and self-test, and is ready in under three minutes.
- And weighs a mere 5.7 lbs.
