The Testo 845 is an infrared thermometer, which is capable of measuring surface temperatures with small diameters from both short and long distances. This is possible thanks to the use of switchable optics for far-field and close focus measurements.
At a distance of 1.2 metres, for example, the measurement point is only 16 mm, and a cross laser clearly marks the measurement point on the target. For a shorter distance of 70 mm, the close focus optic provides a measurement point of just 1 mm.
Some of the features of this model include...
- Reference accuracy, as well as a fast scanning rate of 100 ms
- Backlit display and lightweight
- Audible and optical alarms
- Memory function (remembers 90 measurement protocols)
- PC software for archiving and documenting the collected data
- Tripod fitting for on-line measuring via a USB cable
- Probe socket for thermocouple probes (used to determine emissivity)
- And the unit is compatible with an infrared printer (optional)
In addition to the instrument itself, this kit also includes an aluminium carrying case, battery, calibration protocol, PC software and a USB data transfer cable.
