The ToughPIX 2301XP is an explosion-proof digital camera, which is ATEX certified for capturing images and recording videos in Zone I IIC T4 hazardous areas. This enables inspectors working in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, power, and oil and gas industries to document inspections and assets using still images and video clips.
With its rugged, IP54-rated housing and ATEX certification, the camera is intended for use in hazardous areas by operators that are kitted out in protective clothing. Large buttons and a rubber exterior make it easy to hold and use, even with gloves.
The camera is equipped with a 5 MegaPixel detector, which allows it to take very high-resolution images, and includes on-board interpolation to increase this to 10 MegaPixel.
A 6x digital zoom is also built-in so that the camera can be used from long distances, and features such as strobe flash and red-eye reduction allow the camera to take good images even in extreme, low-light situations.
All of the images and videos are stored on the internal 4 GB of memory, and can be viewed again at anytime on the camera's bright 2.4" display. All of your data can also be downloaded to a PC via the USB connection, and images and movies can be opened using the standard software supplied with Microsoft Windows.
And finally, the removable battery pack allows approximately three hours of continuous operation, and batteries are recharged using a separate charger.
