The Ultraprobe 100 is a battery-powered, hand-held and easy-to-use troubleshooting tool that can detect high-frequency sounds outside the range of human hearing, which is created by electrical discharge, leaks and mechanical components.
As we can't ordinarily hear these sounds, the instrument electronically translates them into an audible frequency that can be heard in the headphones. The sound intensity level is also displayed on an LED bar graph.
Although the technology is clever, the Ultraprobe 100 itself is very simple to operate: a trigger is used to switch the unit on and off, while a sensitivity dial on the front can be used to help block out competing sources of ultrasound.
The Ultraprobe 100 also uses a standard 9 volt alkaline battery, which is commonly available and can be swapped out quickly for continuous operation.
We can supply this model in a variety of kit configurations to suit specific applications, such as carrying out leak surveys or steam trap inspections, and as a complete kit. A small selection of optional accessories are also available, including holsters and leak tags.
