The Ultraprobe 2000 is a hand-held, frontline maintenance tool, which can be used in hazardous areas to locate pressure and vacuum leaks, detect electrical discharge, check valves, test steam traps and monitor bearings.
As this model is Intrinsically Safe, it is included as part of the 'No Leaks' strategy (implemented by the United Kingdom Offshore Oil Association), and is used throughout the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, power, and oil and gas industries.

Similar to the Ultraprobe 550, this model is both robust and simple to use, and many operators will be able to familiarise themselves in a short time. In addition to being ATEX Approved, the Ultraprobe 2000 also includes a few notable extras.
In particular, a frequency tuning dial allows operators to reduce interference from competing sources of ultrasound (a bit like tuning in to your favourite radio station), which allows the equipment to be successfully used in noisy environments.
