The Ultraprobe 100 senses high-frequency sounds (known as ultrasound), which is produced by operating equipment, leaks and electrical discharges.
These sounds are then electronically translated by the Ultraprobe, so that the user can hear the problem in the headset, and see the intensity of the ultrasound on a red LED bar graph meter on the front of the unit.
Each bar on this LED meter equals approximately 3 dB, making it ideal for calculating decibel levels. And the Ultraprobe 100 uses a 9 Volt Alkaline battery, which can be popped out at anytime and easily replaced for continuous operation.
