Why choose ultrasound?

The use of ultrasound is a smart approach for a number of reasons...

  • Ultrasound is very directional and localised - it basically travels in straight lines
  • This means that ultrasound can be easily blocked or shielded - so, if there is a competing source of ultrasound, it can be easily taken out of the equation
  • Ultrasonic instruments, such as the Ultraprobe, can be used in noisy environments - don't stop production to find those compressed air leaks!
  • Changes in ultrasound can provide early warning of potential problems
Overview

Ultraprobe 10,000

The Ultraprobe 10,000 brings ultrasound inspection technology to a whole new level. With just this one system, inspectors can perform condition analysis, listen to the translated problem in the supplied headset, record these sounds for archiving and trending, and download readings for further interpretation.

Both Ultratrend DMS and UE Spectralyzer - software that comes as standard, with free updates available via our web site - allow you to organise and analyse all of the inspection information recorded. Ultratrend DMS is comprehensive package for storing, trending and management.

UE Spectralyzer, meanwhile, is a specialist spectral analysis program that integrates with Ultratrend DMS that transforms your PC into a fully functioning FFT analyser.

Other features of the Ultraprobe 10,000 include...

  • Select from six different applications to automatically configure the relevant data fields for use on both the instrument and in the software
  • Spin and Click Technology simplifies the user interface, and makes it quick and easy to store data, record sounds and customise the instrument
  • Compact Flash Card support (everything you need is included in the kit), which makes it quick and easy to download readings and sound files to the PC
  • Transfer and store data from external devices, such as thermometers and tachometers

Whether you wish to monitor bearings, check valves or electrical equipment or test steam traps, the Ultraprobe 10,000 gives the inspector more information than ever to make a decision. Note patterns in electrical failure, analyse mechanical sounds, trend a group of critical bearings over a period of time, analyse leak costs, and much more. With the Ultraprobe 10,000 - anything is possible.

Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme

Ultraprobe - Energy Technology List (Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme)

Our range of ultrasonic leak detectors qualifies for the government's Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme. By meeting the government's stringent qualifying process - by detecting a 0.4mm leak in a 75 PSI system from 20 metres - the Ultraprobe demonstrates superior energy efficient performance.

By claiming an Enhanced Capital Allowance, interest free loans and tax advantages may be available, which could result in improved cash flow and a reduced payback period. There is a space on the tax form to include ECA purchases.

Please ask your Financial Director to visit HM Revenue & Customs.
