Analysing infrared images and reporting the results of inspections to colleagues or clients are very important tasks for any thermographer. To help speed up this work, FLIR Reporter allows you to create comprehensive and professional multi-page reports using Microsoft Word 2003 or later.
Once installed, this software allows users to create and edit reports, as well as customise the report templates. A simple wizard is also included to quickly select infrared and digital images, and arrange them on one of the pre-designed report templates. When we're finished, the report is then opened in Microsoft Word for final editing.
By using Microsoft Word, users have full control over the style and layout of the report. Most people are familiar with the features and tools found in Microsoft Word, and will be able to add new pages, edit text and move images with the minimum of effort.
A powerful FLIR Reporter toolbar can also be accessed in Microsoft Word, and enables users to carry out full analysis of the infrared images included in the report, and without the need to use a second piece of software. For example, you could draw a box on an image, and include the average temperature of this area on the report.
All of these FLIR Reporter tools are also available when editing any other document. This means that you don't have to specifically set out to create an inspection report, and can conveniently include infrared images and data in any of your documents.
