Ultratrend DMS is a complete data management system for digital Ultraprobe users, which allows you to create databases, download and organise inspection data, trend readings, and create graphs and reports.

Once you've created a new database using the wizard, you can organise it using different applications and customisable groups and locations, under which we'll store the data collected by the Ultraprobe.

After we've created this hierarchy, we can upload some of it to the Ultraprobe. This 'route' is ideal for monitoring bearings, and instructs operators on where to go next. When the inspection has been completed, all of this information can then be downloaded back into the software in seconds.

All of this new data can then be reviewed on-screen, and includes information such as date and time, dB level, frequency, sensitivity and much more. If we also recorded a sound file using the Ultraprobe 10000 or 15000, then this is automatically linked to the relevant reading and can be analysed further in the UE Spectralyzer software.

Using any selection of the data, we can also plot and print graphs, which helps to trend the readings over a period of time. As before, this is particularly useful when estimating the life expectancy of a faulty bearing. We can also export the data to Microsoft Excel, set-up alarms to visually highlight potential problems, as well as import digital and infrared images or diagrams, etc.
