This Introduction to Thermography Course has primarily been designed for new users of FLIR infrared cameras. However, much of the course content is also appropriate for potential purchasers, and those who require a basic understanding of different measurement technologies and their applications.

This course is run by FLIR Systems in conjunction with the Infrared Training Center, who are widely recognised as the finest training certification organisation, with instructors who are both ASNT and ERPI Level 3 qualified.

Aiming to provide attendees with an overview of the concepts and principles behind thermography, this course will cover the practical implementation and use of an infrared camera on-site, demonstrating how to take accurate measurements, analyse data and report results to colleagues or clients.

• Camera familiarisation and basic practical exercises
• Conservation law, energy and temperature
• Emissivity and image interpretation
• Environmental factors, such as reflected apparent temperature
• Image resolution and the impact on temperature accuracy
• Reporting software

We recommend that all attendees bring along their infrared camera, as well as a laptop with the PC software installed. If this isn't possible, then a limited number of spare cameras will be made available during the course.
